Who ever said parallel lines never intersect? Multi-talented television personality and entertainer defies geometry and life logic and as she simultaneously balances careers in Lauren Lake television, music, law, and interior design. She accomplishes this seemingly impossible feat with uninhibited grace, allowing her creative impulses to flow freely from one career to the other.
Lauren's creative passions began at an early age. Out of an unbridled imagination, emerged a distinct desire to entertain, compose, create and design. Her imaginative, avant-garde spirit and love of learning made Lauren a stellar student. After graduating from law school , Lauren began a career as a criminal defense attorney in her native Detroit, Michigan. Her sharp intellect and oratorical skills fueled her success as an advocate for justice and as a counselor to her clients.
In 1999, Lauren relocated to the New York area determined to establish herself as an entertainer. She immediately began securing jobs singing background for multi-platinum selling artists such as Mary J. Blige, Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, and Jay-Z. She also produced album projects and secured major label record deals for artists signed to her production company.
Lauren's no- nonsense personality and dramatic flair intrigued the producers of the hit reality series "To Live in Date in New York", which chronicled the dating lives of independent, single New York women. She was selected out of thousands of women appear on the series, and soon Lauren was being followed by cameras as she weaved her way through her hectic New York lifestyle. Her no-holds-barred approach to life, and her witty commentary made Lauren an instant favorite on the show. The series developed a huge local following, prompting the Women's Entertainment Channel to air it nationally as "Single in the City".
